The February 6-7 weekend brought the last day of Premier League play for 16 Crimson as they battled in the Silver bracket on Saturday afternoon. The team was down two players, middle Mah’ria to injury and setter Elise who got pulled up for the weekend to play with 17 Under Armour. Right side Abby McGuire stepped up and helped Abby Roth in running the usual 6-2 offense and did a great job at adapting to a new position and role.

The girls took on HP 16 Orange, eventual champions of the Silver bracket, to start out the day and had some trouble adjusting early, taking a loss 17-25 and 21-25. However, Crimson wasn’t ready to lay down and came together to take on PAO 16 Mizuno in the 3rd place match and came out victorious with scores of 25-18 and a close 28-26. Premier League gave the team plenty of opportunity for growth and improvement which the girls took full advantage of.

16 Crimson is looking forward to having their full roster back in action this upcoming weekend at the President’s Day Classic Tournament held at at the America Center. Go H2!
