17 Cardinal wins 2nd place in Gold!

H2 17 Cardinal made their first road trip this past weekend and headed to Memphis for some good food, good music, good times and good volleyball. After going 3-0 day one against Cajunland, Team Momentum, and Memphis Metro, 17 Cardinal started day two with a couple close sets of 24-26 against Nola and Asics Louisiana. “Our girls were able to win in 2 sets against both those teams while emotions were high after losing one of our middles Damadj Johnson to injury. I am so proud of the way these girls adjusted and really came together as a team this weekend,” said Coach McBride. Beating the undefeated Louisiana team took 17 Cardinal into the championship! There they faced a very good Memphis Juniors team but lost in 2 hard fought sets of 23-25 and 25-19. Great job 17 Cardinal!
